The Coolest Thing Ever
Since moving I've spent most of Gavin's naptimes online looking for furniture. For one thing, he's been sleeping on a mattress on the floor since a year ago when he started launching himself headfirst out of his crib. We decided he's probably ready for a normal bed now, and I had just about decided on getting an Ikea cheapy. Then I saw this.
Is that not the coolest, most amazing bed you've ever seen????!!!!! SO COOL!!!! I immediately called Captain Logan, who turned a Volkswagen Beetle into a pirate ship last year. Dave has been campaigning for the Pottery Barn Yacht collection, even though it costs a fortune, but even he agreed that this is much cooler. Oh, and more expensive, too, which is why I'll add it to my list of things to indulge in when I'm rich and famous. But if you happen to be rich and famous and into pirate ships, or want to spend a couple thousand dollars on a housewarming gift for us, this awesome bedroom set can be found at Costco.com. Just thought I'd let you know.

That is a pretty awesome bed! What little boy wouldn't love that? Ahhh to be rich and spend all the money we want...
I've seen that at Costco too! Coleson loved it!
That is a pretty sweet bed!
My boy would be very happy to have something like that too! He luvs them pirates!
As far as the bed is concerned: it is not that difficult to make...really. I think you and your hubby and your brother can actually make it.
The headboard looks difficult but with the right tool (a router--stopy by my hubby's shop in Newton and he can hook you up). The decor on the headboard is actually all glued on. The ship's front (don't know the right terminology) seems difficult because of the bend but I am sure the guys could figure it out with a little brainstorming.
We could do it mate! Let's just get together and we can make it happen.
Whoa! Now that's a bed! After seeing that, nothing could come close to being that cool! If you do make it, let me know. I'd love to see a video of Jeff and Dave making that!
Sweet. I'm a fan of the Pottery Barn collection myself, but this is a little more exciting...
